28th July - last afternoon of term.

EH3 7AH  with the promenade and teapots.

Highland Rambler

Miss Eleanor The one which starts with Reflection Reels and ends with with the magical 3 couple Bourrell, when you are re-united with your Partner in a line up and down, and a circle. The 3 couple Bourrell only works if you start it NOT OPPOSITE your partner so there's a clever little sequence to get you in the right places  between the reels and the Bourrell.

Minister on the Loch featuring the diamond pousssette and double figures of 8( for 1s and 3s)

Annan Reel - a 3 couple reel featuring diagonal Rights & Lefts

Broadway the tricky one with Set and Link for 3 couples and half diagonal Rights & Leftsl

14th July

Shiftin' Bobbins - starts by crossing into double triangle position then features lots of teapots representing the bobbins 

Laird of Miltons Daughter- featuring the Corner Chain

Miss Gibson's Strathspey featured the Knot 

Broadway the tricky one with Set and Link for 3 couples and half diagonal Rights & Leftsl

Trip to Timber Ridge The one with Corners Pass and Turn, and Double Triangles

7th July 

Good Hearted Galsgow  - featuring teapots 

Rutland Reel - ladies and men's chain and a reel of 3 on the side

30th June  2022 - 2 sets! 

Hooper's Jig - the one with the claps, passing right shoulder  and featuring Right and Left Hands Across, before a series of 1s and 3s crossing and ending with Rights & lefts ( when I didn't forget!)

The Morrison Measure  Right and Left shoulder reels and Right and Left Hands Across.

23rd June 2022 - last preparation before tea dance !

Granville Market  - Featuring Right and Left Hands Across, Half figure of 8 and turning corners

The Sailor    - features double triangle position, Right Shoulder reel of 3 and Rights & Lefts.

Rothesay Rant- the square one  with dancers alternating facing in and out to , then  half ladies chain and half Rights & lefts. 

Montparnasse - the slow, elegant one featuring half Left Hands Across, reels of 4 and diamond poussettes

Rutland Reel - ladies and men's chain and a reel of 3 on the side

Reel of the 51st - set and turn corners, balance in line

16th June 2022 - just too hot and too few of us to do much this week.

Cumbrae Reel - the one where we danced down and up four-abreast. Features hald Right & Lefts, turning in pas de basque, reel of 4 and turning corner, partner, corner, partner.

Castle of Mey    - features  Inveran Reels, double figures of 8 and quick time poussette

Midsummer Common    - features Set Advancing to corners into lines across  and ends with the diamond /all round poussette

Jean Martin of Aberdeen  what I called the 3/4 dance: going round the circle just 3/4 ( twice) ,the 3 couple Allemande and the 2 couple Bourrel with a 3/4 turn and twirl to miraculously meet your partner .

9th June 2022 

Miss Welsh's Reel    - features Right Hands Across ( and left back) , and Corner/Partner/Corner/partner.

Rutland Reel - ladies and men's chain and a reel of 3 on the side

Jean Martin of Aberdeen  what I called the 3/4 dance: going round the circle just 3/4 ( twice) ,the 3 couple Allemande and the 2 couple Bourrel with a 3/4 turn and twirl to miraculously meet your partner .

Trial Dance -

Pelorus Jack  -  the one with alternating, tandem, half diagonal  reels of 3, and some easy Right hands across at the beginning and left Hands across near the end!soo corners

2nd June 2022 - a Jubilee Special

Jubilee Jig - features casting and setting to someone other than your partner , and teapots 

Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh    - a busy dance with Advance and Retire, weaving in and out the sidelines, Right Hands Across ( and left back) , turning Corner/Partner/Corner/partner and just when you thought it was over a circle! Exhausting!

Byron's Strathspey - A relief to turn to something slow and familiar: petronella, teapots, reel of 3 in promenade hold and ending with a 3 couple allemande 

The Trial Dance

Platinum Skies    - features petronella, half diagonal reels of 4 ( starting both right and left shoulder) , Left hands across and a chase. 

26th May 2022

Miss Welsh's Reel    - features Right Hands Across ( and left back) , and Corner/Partner/Corner/partner.

Slytherin House    - features Set and Link, looping round 3rd corner Teapots and  the snakey movements 

Montparnasse - the slow, elegant one featuring half Left Hands Across, reels of 4 and diamond poussettes

Staircase in Styria - 4 teapots down the set  with the lady leading, back to top place then casting and coming together again. In our 3 couple version we just had one couple doing the teapots, and did the cast and rejoin only once, and ended with a circle
