Ballater Reel  featuring Allemande, right and lefts and full figure of 8 across

Delvine Side  featuring allemande ending facing corners and turning them 2 hands.

Waternish Tangle â€‹(Jig) the one with the targe.

Rothesay Rant  the square dance featuring  half ladies chain and half right and lefts  

​​

Provost Wynd  featuring reels of 3 on the side, and Right hands across

Singing Sands â€‹the one with the tourbillon. and diagonal rights and lefts

Gordon's Cider Press - square set with 1 couple im middle

Redbud Reel- featuring right and lefts and Right hands acsoss 

Linton Ploughman - Featuring  the quick time poussette in pas de basque step

The Ambassadors Reel - eatures half figures of 8 and turning corners

​

Miss Gibson's Strathspey featured the Knot  and Corner/Partner/Corner/partner

​​

Bon Viveur- the medley, introducing/ reviewing  Schiehallion Reels.

​

Jig for Jessie featured a promenade for 3 couples, 1/2 diagonal reels of 4 1/2  and a chase

King of Spain's Daughter featured the Espagnole and figures of 8 on the side

​

Major Ian Stewart with reels of 3 on the side, Hello/Goodbye setting and a circle with the dramatic pivot turn back .

25th February

Ecclefechan Feline- A useful reminder of mirror reels, together with figures of 8 on the side and teapots.

Scotland's Gardens- Featuring right shoulder reels of 3, pas de basque setting  and petronella again.

Bonnie Gallowa' - A more challenging dance including the Rondel formation

Hunting Horn Featuring  double triangles and diagonal reels of 4.

Glengarry Homestead- featuring  the targe but as a strathspey.

​Falls of Rogie - featuring  half reels of 3 and 4

Rakes of Glasgow (Strathspey)- The slow one introducing Rights and Lefts and the 2 couple allemande.

Crabbit Shona - featuring Right Hands Across, Left Hands Across and then finally Rights & lefts

​

Pulling Bracken - includes the Grand Chain, left shoulder reels of 3 across in prom hold,  and teapots.

​

Hope Little's Strathspey - includes the Grand Chain, and 1s getting to 3rd place .

​

28th January

Anderson's Rant - Featuring reflection reels and figures of 8 across

Spring Fling. 40 bars rather than usual 32 for each repeat!

Jimmy's Fancy -the one  with Right hands across and left back , then 2 small circles.

Catch the Wind -the one where the lady is followed by the man but only lets him catch her at the end. Features the reel of 3 across.

21st January   

London /Gerrards Cross Celebration (Jig) our warm up round the room dance.

​

​

New Year Jig - a reminder of figures of 8 and reels of 3 on the side, followed by hands across but this time right hands across  with 3s and left hands back with 2s. 

​​

City of Stirling - Snowball Chain then a lot of passing and turning left or right! 

​

Chasing the Eclipse - more chaperoned chain progression.with tandem reels of 3 across

​

Tribute to the Borders

half reels of 3 with dancing couple in Prom hold. Ends with an allemande.

​

Tap the Barrel  - starts with 1s crossing with 3s diagonally, then an Allemande . 

​

Bruce's Men  - with Diagonal Rights and Lefts, and an allemande. 

​

Staircase in Styria - 4 sets of teapots for 1s and 3s then  shades of Miss Johnstone.The crib says no stepping up or down until bar 27.

14th January  

Dancing Master features 96 bars ! 

​

The Music and the Dance with the Knot for 3 and Set and Rotate for 3,

​

The Committee Meeting (Reel) with mirror reels, left shoulder reels  and Set and Link.

​​

​Portincaple Oak The Medley once through Strathspey, once in Reel time with interlocking Ladies Chain for 4 couples, and Schiehallion Reels

​

Waternish Tangle â€‹(Jig) the one with the targe.

Lets Have Music and  Dance with the Chaperoned or Chain progression, the Whoopsie turn and the 2 small circles joining up.

Dancing Spirit The one with half diagonal reels of 4 and the Spoke.

7th January  

EH3 7AH  (Jig) with the promenade and teapots.

Deer Friends,  (strathspey) half diagonal reels,Set and Link and the Sliding Door move..

Reflection reels ( normal and crossing) , double triangles  and Whoopsie Turn

Dancing Spirit The one with half diagonal reels of 4 and the Spoke.

Mairie's Wedding- (reel) features  1/2 diagonal reels of 4 between corners and then a left shoulder reel  of 3 across, ending with a circle.
