14th December 2023 - 19 dancers to end the year!
Ecclefechan Feline- A useful reminder of mirror reels, together with figures of 8 on the side and teapots.
Rutland Reel - 40 bars rather than the usual 32, featuring Ladies Chain and Mens Chain and reel of 3 on the sides
The Orchards of Co. Armagh - a chase to get everyone onthe wrong side in upside-down order, then 3 half reels of 4 ( 2 up and down, 1 across).Then a cast to from 2s and 1s to create the progression.
Trip to Timber Ridge the very fast, jolly one, featuring Corners pass and Turn in quick time !

Miss Johnstone of Ardrossan - Featuring mirror reels from the middle of the set, with 1s crossing
Saltire Strathspey - the one we did better this week but still found quite challenging!

Tartan Rainbow - featuring the 3 couple knot, teapots and half figure of 8 accross. 2s are dancing couple
Craven Twelvesome - the square one with a man with 2 women on each side featuring reel of 3 and half Right Hands Across for the men.

Annan Reel-the one Suzanne kept getting wrong so the timing was abit off.Sorry.
Kilkenny Castle-the one with the 'back to front' mirror reel, petronellas and more diagonal rights and lefts.
Catch the Wind -the one where the lady is followed by the man but only lets him catch her at the end. Features the reel of 3 across.
Broadway the tricky one with Set and Link for 3 couples and half diagonal Rights & Lefts
Edinburgh Toyshop - an easier one to finish, featuring turning corners, and finishing with a circle.

Farewell to Balfour Road The 5 couple set that starts with a new top couple every 16 bars.We danced it first as a normal 5 couple set, and then with the overlaps. Exilerating stuff!!
Wind on Loch Fyne The triangular one with interlocking (or banana) reels..
Shiftin' Bobbins. Teapots going down the set and then with the other hand coming back up.

Farewell to Balfour Road The 5 couple set that starts with a new top couple every 16 bars.We danced it first as a normal 5 couple set, and then with the overlaps. Exilerating stuff!!
Craven Twelvesome - the square one with a man with 2 women on each side ehich should feature reel of 3 ( but I was so excited by Balfour Road I forgot it this time) and half Right Hands Across for the men.
